Success after IF

PIO shots - what to expect once finished??

Good Morning ladies -

I have been released from my RE and will now see just my OB....

My RE advised me that I can stop the PIO shots next Tuesday, which will be just over 10 weeks along....

I am curious if I should expect any side effects from stopping the PIO?  Like spotting for example?  It will be a relief to not have to do them anymore, but I am nervous as well....

TIA

Re: PIO shots - what to expect once finished??

  • A lot of my pregnancy side effects went away for me, my sore boobs stopped hurting, I was less tired (although that caught up to me a few weeks later). I got paranoid because of it, but my OB assured me it was normal. I had a great first tri after going of progesterone!

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • I didn't notice any change (besides the pains in my butt going away)!

    Congrats!

  • I didn't notice a difference.

    Congrats!

  • The main things that changed for me was my insanely sore boobs went away and of course the sore tush as well!

  • Good things - the shooting pains in my tailbone stopped, I did not have to wait for my hubby to inject me every night!!!

Ok things - Many of my symptoms have also gone away.  I used to have sore boobs and I'd get nauseous if I let my tummy get too empty.  Now I feel totally normal (except from the bloating I still have from the IVF).  So I worry a little bit about the pregnancy but I'm also grateful that I don't have really bad ms or other symptoms.  Good luck!!

I have never had any spotting or bleeding (even when our twin stopped growing at 6w)
