NBR: Civil War Tickets

Hey ladies ~ I was wondering if any OSU/UO alum could give me some info about getting Civil War tickets.

I'm really hoping to take Baby Platypus to his or her first football game this fall.  DH is a Beaver, I'm a Duck so info for either school works!

TIA!  :)

  • The only thing I'd say about that is it's SO loud there.  My DH had been to a game and he says it's louder than a concert.  I wouldn't want your LO's hearing to be damaged.
  • Civil War tix are VERY hard to get.  You might have luck buying the "standing room only" tickets, I've done that a few years in a row.

Also, if you're planning on taking a baby, I would plan on keeping the baby in the inside beer garden/cafeteria area with the big TV's.  The actual stadium is VERY loud, and not "baby friendly".  Picture 4 drunk guys in Orange and 4 drunk guys in Green talking trash to each other...that's a Civil War game.

We have season tickets to the blazers and have taken our daughter with us and I LOVE these...I never worry about how loud it is.

  • I'm SO buying these this fall.  We also have season Blazer tix and I was worried about the noise.  Thank you for the rec!!

  • It will probably be both loud AND cold since the game is on a Thursday night in December.  Good luck getting tickets.
  • I'm an OSU alum and I really recommend NOT bringing your baby.  It's loud, and since it's the last game of the season, it's always freezing cold.  There's loads of drunk college kids.  I went in 2005 and 2007 and both games were loud, dirty, and cold (but so much fun!)
