My water broke 4 weeks early, then of course I had to goto the hospital no contractions for 14 hours, so they had to put me on Petosin (SP???) to induce labor
I had horrible contractions all night before my water broke! I also threw up and thought that I had caught a nasty flu. It was seriously awful. I honestly felt better after the water broke.... it was very strange labor!
I had a scheduled c/s due to LO being breech. My water broke a week and a half early. Within about 30 minutes I was having regular contractions every 5 minutes or so...maybe more often. Our next step was packing LOL. We got to the hospital and had my c/s within an hour and a half. Contractions blow.
8 hours of just laying there all night being bothered by nurses before they decided to give me the pitocin. I kinda wish they had done it a lot early, he was born 5 hours later. I could have used some sleep at that point.

Contractions started at 3:30 pm, water broke at 4:30 am spontaneously when I got up to change positions, no dilation change from 4:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., c-section at 7 p.m.

I had one huge contraction that woke me up out of a dead sleep. I was so out of it. At the time I just thought I had to go to the bathroom. The second I sat down my water broke. Contractions started to be strong and regular for me about a half hour after that and were about 2-3 minutes apart. The trip to the hospital was not fun. I thought I was going to give birth in the car!
My water broke at 6 am, I had some mild contractions here that had started the day before, nothing that was timeable, and not terribly painful (i thought they were bh). When I was admitted at 11am and hooked up to the monitors they were so mild that they didn't even show as peaks and valleys. I didn't start feeling the real deal until my second hour w/ a pitocin drip.
My water broke two days before I was due, and wasn't getting any contractions. The doc gave me pitocin soon after we were admitted and it took a while for the contractions to become regular or strong. I finally got an epi after almost 12 hours of being on pitocin. I gave birth 24 hours after being admitted to the hospital.
I had a bad gastroenteritis the weekend before I went into labor. I had been having BH contractions for a long time and they got worse when I was sick (now I think they must have been real contractions). My water suddenly broke and within 2 hours I was having much stronger, painful contractions.
My water broke with both DD and DS. With DS, my water broke at 7:30 in the morning, but I didn't feel any contractions until about 3 pm. I still went into the hospital around noon so that they could monitor the baby. DS was born at 7:51.
With DD, contractions started immediately after my water broke.
My water broke around 3:30pm and then started gushing around 4:30, with mild contractions starting around 7pm, and really kicking in around 9:30. I think officially they decided 9:30 was when I really went into "active" labor.?

My water broke and I went to the hospital right away. (About 20 min later) ?When they checked me I was 3 or 4 cm dialated. ?I did not feel any contractions yet even though they said they were happening. ?It was not until I was 6 or so that I started feeling them. ?It was a total of 8 hours from water breaking to delivery. ?
I was two weeks early and my water gradually broke... not one big gush. We went to the hospital around 7:30 pm, and I only had mild contractions. Went on pitocin around 10:00 am. Baby was delivered at 6:30 pm.
Water broke... 25 min later i have my first contraction but it felt more like a cramp. The next one (3 min later) was painful and i couldnt walk or talk thru it.
My water broke first with my first and third. With my first I was 5 weeks early and it broke with a real small slow leak. I was having contractions about 30 minutes later but I didn't know they were contractions. With my third I left for the hospital an hour after my water broke since my first came just 3 hours after it broke. I wasn't having contractions so they just let me chill out in my room until I felt them. Once I felt them they monitored me for 30 mins and checked me then back to my room I went. It was about an hour after I got to the hospital before I started having contractions, so 2 hours after my water broke. Within about 45 minutes they were very painful, good thing she was out 6 hours after my water broke.

Holy cow! Minus the water breaking part (that didn't happen until just before I started pushing), this is exactly how my labor started...
My water broke and it took about 6 hours for consistent contractions to start. They never got strong enough though so about 12 hours after my water broke, my OB started pitocin.
My water broke while we were eating dinner in a restaurant with my in laws...... That was 7 pm. I had no timeable contractions and made my way to the hospital at 1 am. I was scheduled to be induced at 7 am that same day anyway. They started the pitocin at 4 am, epi at 630am, and she was born at 315pm....
Water broke at 7:00 am. Got to the hospital at 9:00 am with no contractions still. Started pitocin at 10:30. Epi at 2:30. Upped the pitocin, heart rate dropped. Stopped all pitocin. Contractions stopped. Started pitocin again, got it high enough to cause progress (only made it to 4cm). Heart rate dropped again at around 5:00, stopped pitocin, started oxygen. Ended with an emergency c-section, Wylee came at 6:08.
I had contractions before then my water broke then continued to get worse
This.
I have contractions about 5 min apart, but they weren't all that painful. They had been going on for about 2 hours before my water broke. By the time we got to L&D my contractions were 2-3 min apart and SO PAINFUL!
