flip flopping during BF

ok LO started this thing a few days ago where she will suck for a second and then she wants to switch sides and she goes back and forth until finally she starts sucking for good!

    Hey, hopefully you see this as I'm late in replying! My DD has done this off and on for the past couple months. She thinks it is hilarious and I just get frustrated. My conclusion is that she's trying to find the letdown as she never gets into an active suck/swallow pattern while she's flipflopping.

    For us it has proven to be just a phase (a phase we've gone through a couple times or on random nights) and she goes back to nursing regularly. Some times I have the willpower to "close up shop," cut her off and let her play with something besides the boobs for a few minutes and then try with normal nursing again. Other times I just take off my shirt and top and deal with the flipflopping.

    Hopefully it is just a phase for you guys too! The first phase was the longest and now it is mostly just a random night here and there where she's maybe not tired and really wants to play a bit more before bed.
