Wow, DD's hair is getting so long! This is a pic from her bath today. I know that I need to take her for a trim, but I am nervous about her sitting still and afraid they might cut too much. What has been your experience with haircuts at this age?
Wow, she is adorable! For that young, I'd go to a place that specializes in kids if you can. They usually have cool seats to sit in- some have videos in them- so it's distracting while they get their first cut. Have fun!
Wow, I'm jealous! We actually DD's hair trimmed (mostly just to even out the back & get the bangs out of her eyes) when she was 9 months. The place we went to put stickers all over her to distract her (then we gave her a paci to prevent consumption of said stickers), and DH stayed next to her in case she decided to flail an arm or two, but I think she was fine. Now my MIL and I hold her down while FIL trims her bangs.
With that much hair, the stylist should be able to keep scissors at a pretty safe distance.

Re: DD's hair - PIP
Emerson is going for her fourth hair cut tomorrow. I just like to keep it trimmed. It's not a big deal for us.
I would cut it about 4 inches and blunt across the back, if I were you.
You probably won't notice that much difference. It'll just look really healthy. GL-
