Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Anyone start solids then stop them?

We started about 2 weeks ago.  Although he has not have any of the signs the Dr warned us about...rash, vomiting or diarrhea DS seems fussier and will not nap anymore.  I'm not sure if it related to the solids so we are going to stop them to see.  Anyone go through this?  Was it the solids making your LO not sleep or are we just in the 4 mo wakeful?  Thanks!

  • We give DS solids only once a day towards the evening about 2-3 hours before his night bottle. We started him on soilds at four months and i have no noticed anything.?

  • I doubt it's the solids.  I mean technically he doesn't need them so you could stop and see if that fixes the problem.  We haven't had any issues.
  • we started DD on solids (oatmeal) at 4mo.  around that time, she stopped STTN.  i'm hoping that it's just 4mo wakeful because it's killing me.  i haven't stopped the oatmeal though.

We are doing oatmeal too.  I'll update if it helps at all.

  • We haven't started solids but the reaction your describing is always what I saw with Owen when he was intolerant to something that I ate. Even after I took away dairy, hidden dairy and soy,(which all made him very sick) he was still clearly intolerant to something.  The reaction always meant less sleep and more fussy behaviors.
