Has anyone done them? I am wondering WHEN is the best time to do them? DS is so small right now...he can't sit up or smile yet, so Iam not sure if I should wait, or if I will want to capture the preciousness NOW rather than later. Of course I have TONS that I have taken myself, but I was thinking of preofessional shots...Any thoughts?
Re: Newborn photos
Many photographers say the best time to take newborn photos is within the first two weeks and sometimes into week three. Why? Because they sleep more and are more flexable to put into positions.
We did DS photos when he was three weeks old. ?
Before 2 weeks is when you want to do them as that's when they still sleep a lot and have that nice curl to them from being in the womb. I'd do it closer to 1 week though if you can...a week can be a huge difference in some babies.
2 weeks was a tiny bit too late for my LO as he lost some of his curl. I couldn't get any naked shots from above because his legs wouldn't curl up to hide his boy parts. Not sure if it's because he's long or what (he was 23 inches at birth). 3 weeks my boy was already sleeping through the night and was awake the majority of the day.
Different props make a huge difference though too.
ETA: Just noticed your LO is already a month and not so much a newborn anymore (they become infants at 28 days
