Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Anyone else worried about how long it will take to TTC#2 (or more)?

It took 12 months with DS.  I have heard so many stories about people TTC #2 before they were really "ready" b/c they were afraid it would take a long time (b/c #1 did), then getting pregnant right away.  DH and I have agreed that we would rather not have another winter baby (though we know, in the end, we can't control that and what will be will be).  With our "timeline", that has us TTC#2 in 1 year!  Sooner than I ever anticipated, but we know it can take a while.  Anyone in the same boat?

  • We are ttc now and hoping we get pg by next march. But who knows whenever we are blessed again will be great. But I would love 2 under 2 (yes I am crazy)

Good luck. And have fun with it.

  • We're in the same boat.  There's about 4 months in the year that I would like to avoid having a baby because of work, so we're trying to work around that.  I hope it doesn't take us a year again!

  • I am a little worried, just because I have a total timeline of when I want to get preggo again, how long I want to back at work beforehand etc.  I go back to work in December, and want to be pregnant by March.  Maybe I will start a month before that?  No pressure at all!

  • We're not worried. We decided that if we're going to try for one more baby, we're going to wait about 6 months. If it happens, it happens.
  • We don't plan on TTC again for at least 4 years due to financial issues.  It took us only 4 cycles to conceive DD but I fear it may take longer next time.  Last time I went on metformin in hopes of regulating my periods and ovulating (I know it is a diabetes drug but my family doctor said it was known to help ovulation) and got pregnant right away.  I don't know if it was the metformin that helped me ovulate or if the BC pill just finally got out of my body.  Anotherwords yes I do worry I will have a harder time TTC #2 and last time we started TTC I was 25 next time I will be between 30 and 34 probably so I really hope it doesn't take too long.  I am just trying not to worry about it so many things can change between now and then that we may get to TTC sooner or not at all.  It all depends on finances for us.
