Ready - GO!

I wanted a corn dog when I went today but sadly had just had lunch and couldn't see forcing it down. I also stood next to the line for Funnel Cake but thought better of it and walked my pregnant a$$ in the other direction.

I totally would have done it if I was hungry.

they always have some sort of new crazy fried concoction that I usually try... and a corny dog, of course!

But our state fair isn't until October (too damn hot in Texas in the summer!)

I am going to one next week with my summer school kids and cannot wait to get ice cream with them! And probably some funnel cake and a sausage, pepper and onion sandwich!

I always get a freshly-squeezed lemonade and a giant corndog! In Texas, I used to get the fried turkey leg. Yum!

i cant wait until the texas state fair is here, i only live 30 minutes from it! last year i got deep fried grilled cheese (panko breaded, so good) dipped in tomato soup and deep fried chocolate truffles (fried and rolled in powdered sugar and the inside is all gooey warm!)

We have small feasts here in the city throughout different neighborhoods but they all sell pretty much the same stuff.

Right now I could go for some deep fried oreos and zeppoles.

I keep reminding DH that the one good thing about August is our state fair....and I am so excited!! Our state fair is famous for everything on a stick....so I will be indulging in hot-dish (casserole) on-a-stick and cheese curds.....yuuuuummmm!!

texas nachos. the chips are shaped like texas and they stick a little flag in it. omg it's so good. i'ts runny and messy and just a huge mound of food. i really want that now but have to wait until oct.
