Thank You cards...

I would love to do a photo card with a nice note on it and send the same one to all. Do you think this is appropriate? I didn't get a chance to open her gifts at the party, it was outside and hot and humid.

Also, do they have regular Baptism thank you cards at Hallmark or something?

Re: Thank You cards...

  • Personally I think un-personal thank you cards are tacky. People take the time to buy a gift I think you should take the time to thank them for that specific gift.

  • no. it's awful. no one wants to see a pic of your LO.

silly girl!  lo's so cute...shoow off your baby! ppl will love it!  if not, mail them stinky diapers!

  • The photo card part is fine, but you need to write out a personal note for each gift.
  • Baby shower gifts deserve personal thank you's...after all, what did they really get out of coming to the shower?  They at least deserve a thank you.  Some places (even Walmart I believe) make custom greeting cards that allow you to add a photo but are blank and are made for you to be able to write on them.  I'd go that route....or print off 4x6's and include them with a regular thank you note.  That way they can frame the photo if they want and it doesn't end up in the garbage.  We had our announcements made with a newborn photo, and I also made 4x6 prints of him at 5 weeks old as an updated photo as well.

  • I think sending a generic thank you note to everyone is awful.  I would be totally offended that you didn't care enough to notice/acknowledge the gift I gave.
