First, Middle and Last Name

DH's father name was Frank. His mother and father passed away before I go to meet them. Mother's name was Frances. I have learned that the Christian name for Frank is Francis but DH is suggesting Robert Frank Verdi instead of Robert Francis Verdi. What are your thoughts?

i think Francis sounds a little better.

I'm partial to that name though because it's my grandfather's name.

his full name was Frank? usually that is short for Francis. I think Francis sounds better too

I would do Francis. That seems to honor both parents yet is still the masculine spelling.
