Water for night weaning?

We are trying to get DD to stop getting up to BF at night. (Yes I know when she's hungry and would feed her if she was but 90% of the time she just wakes up and BFs out of habit).

Our pedi said to give her water in a bottle instead and I asked her what the limit was for the amount of water a baby can have and she said at 8 months there is no limit. What do you think?

Our pedi also said at this age there is no water limit. She said that their body can process the water now.

Just be prepared, night weaning is hard. Really hard. But don't break. Stay strong b/c it is so much better for your baby.
