Prenatal Yoga in Sterling Heights area....

I'm about 8 weeks pregnant and have been searching for somewhere close by to take prenatal yoga.  I can't seem to find anything.  Can anyone help?

    This is the only place that I was able to find that is close by. I haven't been there but I've heard good things about this place.

    I don't know if this is too far away but check out The Yoga Shelter, there are a few around.  One of the girls there teaches the prenatal yoga through Beaumont Hospital.  I know of someone that went to that class and the instructor (I'm sorry, she didn't know her name!)  suggested that she just start coming to her class at the Yoga Shelter and she would let her know what she can and can't do during the class., that they had lots of pregnant women that come.

    Beaumont offers prenatal yoga classes at the Beverly Hills Athletic Club which is on Southfield Rd just north of 13 mile.  Not sure if that is too far for you, the days are on Saturdays around noon I believe.

    Of all those places mentioned, not many of them are near Sterling Heights, are they?... Lynn Schuck teaches the prenatal yoga class at Namaste and is an absolutely fabulous teacher.  She teaches a class on Saturday mornings at 9am in Troy, at the Waldorf school at the corner of South Boulevard and Livernois (so, it's just past the Nino Salvaggio that's at the corner of South Blvd and Rochester Road down South Blvd).  It is MUCH less expensive than Namaste's fees.  It is a general class, however, several of my pregnant clients go, and at any given time there are typically at least two of them there.  Lynn is really great about amending poses for pregnancy, as well as helping you to make sure that you are doing poses that are great for your body as it grows and changes.  :)  She really is what I would consider to be the best yoga teacher around.  Avail yourself of the inexpensive prices!!  She's worth getting up early on a Saturday (and I don't say that about many people, really...I like to sleep!).

    Thank you all so much for your help!  I am interested in the Sat. morning class in Troy....is there a phone number that I can call to get in touch with the teacher or whoever runs the class?  Just wanted to get the details such as time, price, ect. for the class.  Thanks again!

    The last time I checked, it was $12 for drop in and $10 for a card (series of 8 classes).  It starts at 9am.  I'll check with Lynn to see if I can share her number on line (I only have her cell).  It is at the Waldorf School at the corner of LIvernois and South Blvd.
