xp: When is LO's first ped appointment?

With DD I recall taking her to the ped after only about 5 days - but I can't remember if it was normal to do so or if it was because the hospital doc thought DD was anemic (sp?).

Just a refresher for a second time mom - TIA!

Both of my girls had to go back the day after we got out of the hospital to have their bilirubin levels and weight checked. Otherwise, I think it would have been 2 weeks.

ds had an appt at 1 week and 2 weeks to make sure he was gaining weight but had his first well check at 2 mo.

No that's normal I think. Our pedi visited DS within 24 hours and we still went to a 5 day appointment, and then a 2 week appointment.

we were told to go see the ped within 5 days.

We were in the hospital for 4 days (complicated cs), so we went at 1 wk, 2 wks, 1 month. The 1wk/2wks were for gaining weight.

Thanks ladies! You would think a second timer would know more...but after 7 years it is like new again - lol! Hopefully it is mostly like riding a bike and I'll pick it back up quickly Smile
