Ladies-
My twin boys are 9yrs old. I manually pumped for about 3weeks with them because they were in the NICU for 14wks and it was sooooo hard to keep my flow going. So, needless to say this is all new to me. Im trying to start researching pumps/bottles/etc now so I can add some things to my registry. Whats your recommendation for a pump (pros/cons)? Thanks!
FYI: I do plan on going back to work but not until 12 weeks but will bottle feed so DH and others can help!
Re: PLEASE recommend your pump!
I love my Ameda Purely Yours. ?It is an excellent pump, and it is a closed system. ?That means no milk can get back up the tubes and into the motor. ?
With twins, and the need to pump higher volumes than mothers of singletons, I wonder if it would make sense for you to rent a hospital grade pump. ?Your insurance may cover it if you can get your doc to prescribe one for you. ?I'd check into it.
I also love my Ameda Purely Yours. It's much less expensive as compared to the Medula PIS and I like the closed system. With the PIS, you have to periodically clean the tubing which is a pain but the Ameda does not require you to clean the tubing. Check out the reviews for the Ameda on Amazon. That's what sold me.
This!
