I am supposed to go in for my second dr.'s appointment on 8/10, I know that they are going to do a pap, I will be 11wks that day, I have been reading about nt scans. I am nervous about not knowing what is going to be done or what needs to be done that maybe I should be asking about. Is this something that only certain people have done? Being the dingy girl that I am I have also been comparing, I know your not supposed to because everyone is different, but other people's ultrasound pictures seem more defined than mine and they were taken around the same time, does 3 days really make a huge difference? Sorry if I sound dumb, I really feel like I am just going through the motions and letting people ie; drs and nurses just tell me bits a pieces of what I need to do or have done. Thank you for any advice.
Re: Do I just need to ask more questions?
Do your own research. Are you reading books or anything?
Ask as many questions as you want at your appt - that is what they are for.
You said it yourself - you should not compare. Listen to your own advice.

You'll get lots of information from these boards, because we all dissect every freaking thing about pregnancy.
I would also pick up "Your Pregnancy: Week by Week" - I got "What to Expect When You're Expecting," and I read both but I prefer "Your Pregnancy: Week by Week."
My doctor did not offer the NT Scan. I brought it up, she asked if I wanted it and I said yes, so it was scheduled (and covered by our insurance.)
Be sure to check, though... I think a lot of people's insurance does not cover that Ultrasound.
The NT Scan is optional. So, if you wanted it then I guess that you would have to ask.
A great book that I loved with my first pregnancy, as well as my sister in law, was The Pregnancy Bible. It is all colour and has very real pictures and tons of great info about pregnancy, labour and delivery as well as baby care. I highly recommend that one. I got it from Chapters.
woah...hostile, much?
