Potentially stupid ? re: pumping

If DD only nurses on one side at a time, should I still pump both breasts when I pump at work? I know this will give me more milk, but will it force me to pump more on the weekends when I can nurse DD myself?

    I would. A pump isn't as effective at draining a breast as a baby. DS usually only nurses on one side now, but I still pump both. I haven't noticed an issue on the weekends.

    You only put your baby on one breast per feeding? If you are only feeding one one side, you should probably pump the other. At work I would definitely pump both sides. You can mess with your supply if you dont empty your breasts each time.

    i would try pumping the side lo doesn't eat from on a regular basis just to keep up your supply.
