XP second time mommies

What does a contraction and braxton hicks feel like? Just curious the last few nights I have been feeling the only way I know how to describe it as a pulling sensation starting up in my chest and working it's way down to pubic bone. I have dropped already. My next apt is tomorrow and that too is when I start the internals. TIA

    hmm, I don't remember any kind of chest pain??  But every one experiences labor differently. BH just felt like my belly got super tight and then contractions felt like super bad period cramps. Are they giving you a NST at your visit? I had to do those at the end because of complications and it will show if you are contracting or not.

    Carianne,

    It is like your tummy getting super tight and feels like it hugs your baby.  I have started having them fairly regularly this past week.  They last for about 20-30 seconds and then will let up and your tummy will be back to normal.  Water and laying on my side help them go away.  They are uncomfortable to me now....especially when Addy still moves.

    Ditto. My BH were pretty uncomfortable at times, but it helped to lay down and drink water. Once the real contractions started, nothing helped them go away.
