I have read in a few places, two different lengths of time that you are setting your milk supply.
A few have said 10-14 days, and the rest have said 6-8 weeks, so my question is... which is it?
I am still feeding on demand and waking 2-3 hrs/ 4 at night, and pumping for 20 minutes afterwards.
I should keep doing this, yes?
TIA!

Even with feeding that often (11-13 times a day) I don't have a great supply.
The LC said that my thyroid problems and needing fertility meds to get pregnant put me at a bigger risk for issues. DD was also in the hospital at 2 days old and I couldn't hold/feed her for almost 3 days : (
We are also feeding with a nipple shield, so I am worried about that.
Last week the LC said that she needs to be supplimented, so the pumping is going for that "extra" she gets after feeding for 20-30 at the breast.
(She will sleep like 6 hours + at night if I let her, so I wake her at four)
That was a lot of into... but I was just wondering if pumping more often/feeding is still benificial to my supply.
Thanks!
