Introduction and ? on stay dry liner

Hello, I thought I should introduce myself since I've been lurking pretty much my whole pregnancy trying to get a feel for cloth diapers as well as other EF stuff. Your board is by far my favorite, everyone is so nice and helpful, and no drama :)

My question is what kind of fabric is best for a stay dry liner? I am thinking fleece or suedecloth, but wondering exactly what kinds to look for in the store (all we have here is Joanns and Hancock fabrics). My LO's skin gets so red and kind of rashy with the wet prefolds against it. I change his diaper as soon as it's wet or dirty and have used different CD approved creams, but nothing seems to help except a couple changes of sposies (which I really hate to do). TIA!!

  • Just regular old fleece works great!

Fleece is easy to find and works well. I found that my DDs skin got red from the detergent we were using. I switched to Tide and the prefolds don't irritate her skin anymore.

  • Thank you! I'm going to go cut some fleece now!
