I have my mid cycle ultrasound this sat and im hoping to do b2b iui's on mon and tues, now the question is how many days before did you abstain so your dh's count was still good?
TTC #1 since 2007. Dx: Unexplained infertility. 4 IUIs in 2008 = BFN. IVF #1 07/09. DD #1 born April 2010 (40w5d). TTC #2 since 2011. Dx: Endometriosis and hypothyroidism. 2 FETs in 2012, BFP 6/12 but m/c @ 7 weeks. IVF #2 06/13. DD #2 born March 2014 (40w1d).
We abstained for about 3.5 to 4 days before our IUI this morning and the count was 41 million postwash. I think our info they gave out for the SA was to abstain at least 2 but not more than 5 days.
There have been timed where we did it the night before and had ninety million the next day. last time we abstained for five days and only had four million. They usually tell us three to five days.

March 26 2011 Gracie is here!
They didn't really stress abstaining (they did mention 1-3 days being ideal) since we don't have any MFI. My B2B IUI counts are in my siggy.
~ We BD'd on Saturday night. ~ We were (suprisingly) ready to trigger on Sunday. No BD. ~ DH gave his sample Monday morning (36 hrs abstaining) and it was 45 million post wash. IUI#1. We couldn't help ourselves and BD again that night. ~ DH gave his sample Tuesday morning (9 hrs of abstaining) and it was 25 million post wash. IUI#2. We also BD again that night.
I may not be a good basis of comparison b/c sometimes that 1-3 days of abstainence really matters to the overall SA count. For us though, it didn't. So not only did I have 70 million swimmers shot up there in total... I was also able to squeeze 2 mind-blowing BD nights out of DH during O. On the down side, if this one doesn't work.... I'm gonna be super pissed. We did everything right. (i guess that's what everyone says, huh?)
My RE said 4 days but we abstained about six days.
TTC #1 w/ endo since Sept 2005. After many losses, a lap, tons of meds and tons of testing and, one failed IVF cycle, we were blown away with a surprise, sticky BFP...it's a girl!!!
