Babies: 0 - 3 Months

let me rationalize for a second...

I'm having a "I'm a bad mommy day"

I went to a mommy group today and one of the mom's was having a problem with BF and she said, "She is growing and developmentally she's good. She did roll over." Ahhh, everyone says, nodding.

DS is 20 weeks, this baby is 12, and he isn't rolling over. But I've decided that Bill Gates and Tiger Woods surely didn't roll over until they were six months old.

Secondly, DS was napping, as was I. He woke up, I stumbled in there, nursed him and he went back to sleep. It wasn't until I came back into the bedroom that I realized he HAD been napping for an hour. So I plied him with BM for no reason. Not only am I doing a bad mommy nursing him to sleep constantly, but I just did it because I was the one who was sleepy.

So, to atone for my sin, I started dinner and did a few other chores. My other rationalization is that obviously he was still tired because no amount of BM would have gotten him back to sleep if he was indeed well rested.

Rightrightright?

My ds just started rolling within the past two weeks or so.He can only roll belly to back, and I can count on one hand how many times he's done this. I hate hearing about other babies 3-4 months old rolling. Don't feel bad. Sometimes they focus on other tasks first, and sometimes they really have no interest. My ds is a big boy, and I think that's holding back his rolling.

And BM is always good for them, IMO.

  • Hannie hasn't rolled over either.  and she's a fvcking genius!
  • Kayleigh could careless about rolling over. She would rather be in the kitchen watching me cook.
