I just wanted to thank you again for helping to dissect my weight-loss snafu early last week. I took your advice and added 3-4 days a week of weights/strength training and have lost 1.5lbs and 1" off my bust and hips already! This weekend I'm buying hand weights to keep at home and use while watching tv or something.

  • That is great! Did you do anything with your diet or did you just change up the exercise routine??

    Oh, and pay less attention to the scale and more attention to those measurements! They are always more indicative of what is really going on. If you are like me, you retain water about 75% of the month, so the scale is always a little off.

    Last week, I was feeling a little emo about my body/weight loss (stopped eating/ working out too much) but then I realized that if I was going to dish the weight loss advice, I need to take it too!! I started eating right, and ordered Turbo Jam and I am down 1.5 lbs this week.

  • There wasn't much to change about my diet. I don't really eat meat, I cut out 95% of desserts (I stick to those lame 100 cal packs if I have some), and eat almost every meal with at least 2 fruits and 2 veggies. It's the types of activities that have killed me. But I've noticed such a difference in my energy and mood since beefing it up.

    I am noticing that I may never get back to my original weight, but my measurements are shrinking. It's strange, but I'll take it. I also quit pumping and am only bfing in the morning and at night/weekends. So hopefully that will help eventually. You're right- I retain an ocean of water. No matter how many Nalgene bottles I go through a day!

    Yay for losing 1.5lbs! Turbo Jam sounds fun. I've been trying out some of those ones on Comcast OnDemand. 

    We just need to keep up the good work!
