what do you pay for your Sunday only newspaper? I just looked up Greensboro news and record and it's $65 for a year. Am I just ridiculously cheap or is that expensive? I guess if i break it down, it doesn't seem as bad... 1.25 per paper. But I wonder if I just didn't do coupons if I would break even?

Re: cost of newspaper (sunday only)
They just raised the in-store price to $2. We just look at the ads and coupons and don't even open up the paper anymore - the articles are horrible. I think the recession made them get rid of their good writers!
ETA: This is the Triangle's News & Observer.
I think the N&O in Raleigh is $1.50 on Sunday, and I get 2 (DH buys them so that is why I don't know for sure). There is generally $120 worth of coupons in each paper. I would say it is worth the $$. I have gotten some realy good deals.
They just raised their price to $2 about a month or so ago. Boo. Although I *think* Dollar Tree has the newspaper there for $1 (but DH did see people stealing the coupons out of those papers on a few occasions...so...)
I definitely save more than $65 or $100 per year with coupons.
I think I paid $23.75 quarterly for Sunday only, and I think it recently went up to like $27.... it's auto drafted from my bank account, so I'm not sure.

Call and ask for a reduced rate - we got 50% off the advertised price for the WS Journal and pay $1 per week for the paper. I save much more than that in coupons - we typically save around 80% off our grocery bill each month and hardly ever pay for toiletries. Of course, not all the coupons from from the paper, but a lot do!
