Mine did and I was surprised. I was so excited to get to start (me assuming he'd give the ok at 4 months) and now I can't. Not even cereal.
I'm ok with it but I was just bummed, this kid has an increasing interest in anything I eat or drink and she'll have to hold out another 2 months. Plus I had hope it would help her STTN cause right now she doesn't.
Re: Anyones pedi NOT rec solids til 6 months?
Ahh, this makes me feel better! Almost as good as a full nights sleep
What was his reason? I guess I just assumed most gave the ok at 4 months and some moms decided to wait until 6. My pedi said its less chance of allergies and he likes their systems to be a little more developed.
Didn't help us STTN either.

I don't know! And he kept saying "between 4-6 months" but was mad I hadn't started them at 5 months. So far as I know, DS is STILL between 4-6 months. He seems to be allergic to things so I wanted to wait.
same here
I thought we were supposed to give vitamins because of the vitamin D. My pedi didn't say anything about iron (although I'm guessing the vitamins we give him have iron as well).
Pedi said anytime after 4 months was fine, but recommended holding off until 6 months if possible.
Also, in response to vitamins. Vitamin drops are mainly given for vitamin D, especially in less sunny areas. They are, however, multi-vitamins, so yes, there is also iron. Pedi said that a little extra vitamins is better than not enough, so vitamin drops are recommended, especially for BF babies. (Formulas are made to contain required vitamin levels.)
ditto. lots of Pedi's feel this way. I am fine w/ it.
