My child doesn't have this but I work in dermatology so we deal with it a lot. The only thing that we suggest over the counter is a wart removal that contains salicylic acid. Otherwise if that does not help the only other options are removal by a dermatologist. They will give a numbing cream for the child to apply 1 hour before the appointment and then they take a currette and scrape the lesions off, we'll also use liquid nitrogen to freeze them off. It's not a dangerous virus so it doesn't need to be treated, it just depends how much it bothers the child. Hope that helps!
