white spots on gums... eruption cysts?

My son is just 5 months but I thought people on this board might have more teething experience.  My son has two little white spots on his upper gums on the outside.  I took him to the doc and they told me they were eruption cysts.

Has anyone else ever had this?  I looked up eruption cysts on the internet and they are usually more like a blister.  My son is also chewing on his tongue on this side.

Just wondering if anyone had experience with this and what it was.

thanks

  • I've never heard them called eruption cysts - but ds did have white bumps on his gums before his teeth broke through.

  • DS get little grey spots on his gums where the tooth is going to come through.
