Pregnant after a Loss

Sorry I've been MIA

Things are NUTS right now!  It's show week for my musical, so I've been at rehearsals really late and I've been SO tired on top of that.  So I haven't been able to bump when I get home like I usually do.

Update: after falling in love with the midwife that we consulted with, we found out that our insurance does not cover any midwife services at all.  :(

We're back to square one.  I know someone had posted before and talked about Cash Pay contracts or something - I haven't been able to find anyone in my area that offers something like that.  We're just going to shop the OB's that our insurance covers and see which one has the lowest price, and probably end up with that one.  The worst news I got when I talked to the insurance company today is that our 5K deductible resets in January.  And any prenatal visits I have will count toward the deductible year they took place in.  So half my prenatal visits will count toward 2009 and half toward 2010.  Which means I have to pay my deductible TWICE.  *Groan*  Good thing I was charting and know exactly when I conceived instead of just finding out because my period was late.  Since I"m only 5 weeks, I still have a little bit of time to iron out the wrinkles before it's necessary for me to be seen.

I've kinda had it with this insurance crap, but hopefully by the end of next week I will have my first ultrasound (between 9-12 weeks) scheduled.
