Hip/outer thigh pain?

I'm getting these shooting hip to knee pains on my right side -- when I'm walking, sitting, standing -- though mostly when I'm walking/standing.

I'm barely dialated (1cm) and effaced (30-40%) - have varicose veins and bulgy veins (my legs look awesome - lol).

Anyone else have this, or any idea of what it is?

    Sounds like sciatica maybe?  That's what my doctor told me it was when I described it.

    I agree-I have that, too, and it sucks.  If I am standing or walking for more than 15 minutes or so, it kicks in on my left leg.  The best thing to do is sit down or lie down when it happens, and it should subside pretty quickly.
