What movies are on your "Do not watch while pregnant" list?

I've added 2 already:

1)Steel Magnolias

2)My Girl

Re: What movies are on your "Do not watch while pregnant" list?

  • What a great question!  I am not sure what movies I would put on there, but I would not read "My sisters keeper" while pregnant.  Very controversial and sad.

  • The Notebook!

  • Marley and Me--- I know they end up having healthy happy children but I couldn't watch the beginning again.  Just too hard
  • I just watched Steal Magnolia's this weekend. Cried my eyes out!

    I'm not sure what I won't watch...

I watched it last weekend, and that's why I added it to my list! I've seen it a million times, but never cried during it until I was pregnant!

  • i watched my sisters keeper the other night with hubby and i cried from start to finish he was laughing at me the whole time..and hugging me...

ive always cried for movies but now its serious i even cry over commercials sometimes

    The Notebook!

already watched this and bawled my freakin eyes out! that's not to say I haven't done that watching this movie before I was pregnant!

I would have add to the list of DO NOT watch movies is any of the Alien movies specifically any one where the the woman gives birth to the alien. I have already had weird dreams I don't want them getting any more weird or scary.

  • BEACHES & I PROBABLY COULDNT DO THE SOUNDTRACK SONG WIND BENEATH MY WINGS EITHER. STEEL MAGNOLIAS WAS MY FIRST THOUGHT.
  • I never can tell, some movies like Independence day make me bawl now (and not in the parts you might think) and others I could care less about. It's so random.
  • The Unborn...

I can handle the sappy lovey dovey happy ones or normally sad ones but something about a child dying before birth and then haunting its sibling...

that just chills me to the bone.

def. not watching that one if I can help it!

  • haha i saw that My Girl was on last night but didnt want to bawl my eyes out so i DVRed it ;)

  • Marley and Me. Brings back too many bad memories. Great movie, but hard for me and DH to watch.
  • The question for me is what can I watch. I think just about everything will make me bawl.
  • I just saw The Orphan.  DO NOT GO SEE THIS!  There is a highly disturbing birth scene in it.  I had to cover my eyes!!
