TTC after 35

Update - OB appointment

My OB/GYN's office got me in this afternoon to see the nurse practioner.  She just confirmed the pregnancy and talked to me a bit, answering questions and making recommendations.  I go back in 4 weeks for a full physical and complete bloodwork, and 4 weeks after that for the first ultrasound.

I don't think it's going to feel "real" until the first ultrasound.  I think I'll feel less cautious and more optimistic at that point.

For those interested in symptoms...I did NOT have any implantation spotting.  About a day after I was officially late (Thurs), I started feeling a little weird, it's hard to explain.  Then, on Friday, I did not test (I had tested Tues, Wed and Thurs, all negatives).  But, my boobs were feeling pretty sensitive, especially my nips.  They were pokey like 80% of the time, which is weird for me, and no AF cramps.  On Saturday, the nips were still crazy pokey and sensitive and I got two lines on one of those Early Pregnancy Tests from the internet, and then the CBE digital.  Since then, I've had the crazy nips on and off, and twinges and very light cramping on and off.  That's it.

I hope you all don't mind if I hang around here for awhile.  I'll probably pop over to the PA35 board eventually if this little one sticks, but I really want to hang here, too, and be a cheerleader for you all, since you have been one for me.

I almost feel guilty that I got my BFP so quickly.  I don't know any of you in RL, but I want so badly for all of you to get pregnant soon!!!! I get so excited when someone on the board who has been trying for so long gets their positive.  I pray for all of you often and hope that each of you has your wishes and dreams fulfilled.

  • Thanks everyone!

I forgot to add to my information that I did use the CBE Ovulation Predictor (@ $28 at Target for a pack of 7 tests) and Preseed for this cycle.

I did not use the recommended amount of Preseed...I just used a little smidge of it to help things along.  The amount they recommend is just too much in my opinion.
