We visited our 1st daycare this AM-Goddard in King Farm

We really liked it.  for some reason I thought it was 1600/mth but it's actually $1865, ugh.  We are checking out Bright Horizons in the Parklawn building at 3-that's about 14something or other so I kind of hope we like it more ;)

How many daycare places did you look at before picking one?   

 

BFP #1: 3/28/09: DD born 12/11/09
BFP #2: 11/16/11: M/C at 7 weeks
BFP #3: 03/24/12: C/P 03/28/12

    We went on the wait list at 4 centers when I was about 4mo pregnant and none of them had openings once maggie was born.  Luckily my BF has a neighbor that has an in-home daycare and they had an opening.  It isn't convenient to home (We live in Gaithersburg near the mall and the daycare is in Olney near 108 and Georgia), but we love it there and being a neighbor to my friend and in the business for about 20 years, I felt I could trust them.  Maggie and Molly love it there now and it is significantly cheaper than a center.  When Maggie was under 2 it was $210 a week and now with 2 there we get a discount and the price goes down for Maggie being over 2, we pay $351 a week.
