Granted, I charted last month while away for a long length of time and had an 11 day LP. This month, I started spotting last night at 9 DPO and heavy cramping and more spotting this morning. I'm a little discouraged with the LP length and fearful what next month will bring. I'm hoping this month will be an oddity and next month will be longer.
When should I start to worry about my length of LP - after how many months of charting? Or, am I still considered to be 10DPO because it is only spotting and not heavy flow?!
I knew this would be the place to ask. Thank you, as always!
Re: LP length and when to worry about it
I think you are 10dpo if you haven't seen red flow. Do you usually spot? If not, maybe it is implantation spotting! I think anything above 10 days is considered a sufficient LP.
You're too cute about implantation...I wish, but it's not that. The spotting is a light pink tinge but not enough to get on a pad yet. The cramps are significant so I know AF is on her merry way to Florida!
On the positive side, since I used OPK's this past cycle, I'm anxious to test with OPK's 2x a day because I had so many fluctuations with the tests. I'm anxious for AF to be gone so that I can get a move on here!
I read about B6 on GP and I might try that, too, FWIW. Thanks!
I think she is on her way to Chicago too. I didn't even temp today because I didn't want to see the drop. Isn't that pathetic??? Oh well, on to clomid & IUI for me!!
By the way, my LP is on the shorter side too (11 days), and my progesterone came back slightly low at 9.7.
Good luck!
I discovered my LP was only 9 days when we were TTC #3. I started taking B6 daily and within 2 months I lengthened it to 11 days on on month 3 I lengthened it to 40 weeks
I personally reccomend the B6!
As pps said, I do think that's a 10dpo LP given the spotting is not actual flow. I had the same issue and my doctor was not concerned about LP length at 10dpo, even with spotting before.
If it is a problem, from what I've heard, it is definitely treatable. Progesterone meds is all some women need to lengthen the LP and conceive!
Good luck!!
This is my fifth menstrual cycle in a row and they've been fairly consistent 28-30 days. I definitely think my temps are skewed because of the BFing and delaying O for me. Anythings possible when it comes to this...but I don't want to stop BFing until I get a BFP or a few months after if my OB allows me.
Thanks so much everyone for your input!
I take B6 & my LP went from 7 days to 11!
