So out of curiosity, I Googled how much water is recommended for pregnant women every day.
Here's the first article that popped up:

224 ounces of water EVERY DAY? Now I understand that certain foods can help with that, but really? You gotta be kidding me! That seems like an obscene amount of water!
I drink around 100-128oz a day and I feel like I'm constantly water-logged.
Re: Holy Cow--Water Intake!
My dr. told me to drink a gallon of water daily.
Yeah, I don't know about taking pg advice from "humorous maternity shirts," lol. That's almost 2 gallons a day, and I've never seen a recommendation so high. That may actually be borderline dangerous. Most people's kidneys can process about a pint of water per hour, and that's 14 pints a day.
Okay...apparently I'm a real slacker mom. I usually only drink between 55-60 oz/day. I'd always heard as long as you drink to thirst and your urine is clear you're hydrated. I'd also heard that you should drink 1/2 your weight in ounces of water (for example...i weigh 120lbs, so I should be drinking 60 oz of water).
Has my information been wrong??
