Fingerprint update

Good news: I got a real person

Bad news: when we were fingerprinted, the guy put a code on them to process through the Dept of Education instead of the Dept of Welfare. They may or may not send me an original of our results, and we may have to re-do. If we do get the original, we have to send the originals to the correct department with a letter saying what happened and hope they'll do their jobs.

I called the Dept of Education and they only work off of voicemail, so I'm hoping I hear back from them someday.

    I am so sorry for the mix-up. Sometimes it seems like these workers are rookies at their jobs instead of people that have been doing this for a while. I pray that you have some good news on your fingerprints soon

    Can you redo the fingerprints in the meantime?  It seems like it might take awhile to track down the first set and make sure they make it to the right place...FRUSTRATING!!!

    I'm starting to think it might be the easiest route to take. Of course, we're going on vacation shortly, so we'll have to figure out timing.

    I'll wait to hear from them, and if I don't hear anything by end of day we'll just re-do.

    YAYAYAYAYAYAY!

    After making multiple phone calls (when I should be working...shhhh) I found someone who could help. Turns out they sent the clearances 3 days after we were fingerprinted, but we never got them. He's sending duplicates today.

    Send good vibes that we get them by Friday so we can send in our last HS paperwork before vacation!
