I was just told by my technician during my last ultrasound that I have an anterior placenta. I have read online that this may cause mom to feel baby less which is why I had a growth ultrasound at 29 weeks to begin with. I don't see my doc till next week and am just wondering if what I am reading online holds any truth.
Anybody else with an anterior placenta feeling less movement??
Re: Anterior Placenta
One of my babies has an anterior placenta and I feel her WAY less than the other baby.
usually you feel the baby later (but generally by 22/23 weeks) - kicks have to get hard enough to feel through the placenta (think kicking into a pillow) or when the baby kicks around the placenta.
you may not feel every little movement, but i still feel all the violent movements and feel her on a consistent basis.
as long as the movement is consistent for your baby, you should be okay. you should be feeling a pattern for your baby even now and be able to determine what is less movement for your baby.
hopefully your doctor can give you some additional advice. glad that they were proactive about it and got you in for an ultrasound.
It took until about 22-23 weeks for me to feel anything substantial, but now I feel movement all the time.
