If your DC sleeps on cot at daycare......

If your DC sleeps on a cot at daycare, what size sheet does it require? DS starts daycare next month and I called today to ask what size sheet the cots need. The owner's son answered the phone and told me he thought they were twin size, but the owner was not there and would call me back tomorrow. The daycare is a Montessori school and they are on summer break right now. I want to order some stuff tonight from babies r us and would like to include DS's sheet in that order.

Would a cot take crib/toddler sheets or twin size?

  • Ours is the pack and play or portable crib size.  I can't imagine they'd be twin size-- that seems like it would take up sooo much space

We use regular crib sheets for her cot.
  • Lurker alert...at the preschools that I have worked at the cots were way smaller than a twin.  I would think crib size, however we provided the sheets and washed them on site.

    Crib size.

    ditto

  • Did they say it takes a sheet?  The cots my kids use at daycare do not use sheets.  Each child is assigned a cot and no one else uses it.  The material of the cot is washable and daycare is great about making sure they are clean.  They have their names on them or a number system (depending on the room).  The kids all bring nap blankets from home and I take them home every weekend to wash.  The cots they have are smaller than a crib or pack-n-play - a different shape - thinner but as long as a pack n play I would guess.

  • We send crib size sheets. He is in a regular bed at home, so we just sent his old crib sheets from when he was a baby.
