He is giving up my cuddle time :(

I know I should be grateful he is sleeping better and we are finally in a routine now but I want my cuddle time!

Our nightly routine consists of dinner, bath time (if it's bath night) Jammies and play for about 30 to 45 min. Then we tell daddy and Jordan (the dog) "night, night" I carry him upstairs and we cuddle for about 5-10 min then I put him down. Well for the past few nights when we tell daddy "night, night" he wanted to walk upstairs instead of me carrying him. When we got upstairs I picked him up to do cuddle time, and he wanted to go right in the crib without my hugs He laid right down on his own.

I accepted putting him in his room, I accepted putting the bottles up, but I don't want to accept losing my cuddle time.

Oh, boo on losing cuddles - that is the best part of our day and I think T and I both need it. It's a love/hate thing with the newfound independence, isn't it? Love that they're learning so much, hate that they're growing up so fast!

Ouch, that's hard. I'll be heartbroken when I lose my cuddle time too. And I agree with Creamy, I think we both need cuddles at the end of the day and I really look forward to that part of our evening routine.

: ( It's sad, this growing up stuff. ?K has never been much of a cuddle bug, but I missed out on that quiet together time once I stopped nursing. It was like all of the sudden he was this independent little guy. He does snuggle a little when he's not feeling well and I feel REALLY bad for enjoying that considering he's under the weather.
