NBR: Milwaukee schools/neighborhoods

I have a job interview (4th grade!) at the Milwaukee Academy for Learning and Leadership this week. Does anyone know anything about this school? Also, it's in the area of W. Center Street near Lake Park. Do you know about the neighborhood? I'd appreciate ANY feedback! Thanks!!

    Sorry, this post is a little late - I believe this school is in a rougher neighborhood on the north side of Milwaukee.  If you don't have experience working in a rough side of town, I'd be leary.

    i know you posted this a while ago, but i'm curious about how it went.  they have a lot of positions open, and i wonder if it's because they're a new charter/choice school or if they have a really high rate of turnover?  i worked at a very unorganized choice school last year and i'm trying to stay away from similar situations, so i'd like to know more about this school...
