Dallas-Fort Worth Babies

He woke up last night.

He hasn't woken up at night since we re-ferberized at 10 months.  And of course, since DH is out of town, this is when he decides to wake up ... and he wasn't even screaming, just fussing.  So I decided I would give him 2 or 3 minutes and see if he would put himself back to sleep ... and just when I was fumbling for my glasses and pushing the pug off of me, he did.

He dedided he didn't need his mommy or daddy, he would go right back to sleep by himself thankyouverymuch.  I lay awake for at least another 45min. trying to restrain myself from going in there and cuddling with him for MY sake.

I have GOT to get a grip.

Can he teach Sheri to do this?!

  • That is awesome!

But yeah.... I hear you on the the "get a grip" thing. It is hard when they don't need us for stuff :(

  • G does this sometimes too and I wonder if he's actually awake or mumbling / talking in his sleep. It amazes me to think that if he's actually awake that he could go back to sleep w/o me like you said. I can truly say that ferberization was one of the things I hated the most but in the end has been for the best.
  • That's awesome!

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Hudson woke me up 3 times last night because he was thirsty??? Eh?? I'm tired, go back to sleep and don't worry about thinking that you need juice at 3 am. Right?? Stick out tongue It was fine, but mama needs her sleep and he never wakes up his daddy for anything, what's that all about?

  • I know exactly what you mean.  He is really good at putting himself to sleep now.  Some nights he wake ups restless and puts himself back to sleep really quickly other it take a little longer.  I don't think I have had to go in his room for at least 2 weeks now.  They are growing up so much.
