quick, help trying to explain wool to my mom!

lol and she is not getting it... she's like the pee gets on the wool, what?! how can I explain the concept of a wool cover or longies/shorties???

    The lanolin makes it self-cleaning... I don't really understand totally. Urine is sterile though.

    Wool is antibacterial, which means that when stuff full of bacteria (like urine) get on it, it doesn't hold on to the bacteria and promote colonization (bacteria multiplying) and in most cases will kill the bacteria... like handsoap does.  I don't know much about wool, I'm just talking about antibacterial substances, so I don't know if wool will kill bacteria, but it will definitely prevent colonization.

    Urine isn't technically sterile.  The urine in your bladder is, but when it goes through the urethra, the opening is full of bacteria.  So the urine that comes out isn't sterile anymore, but full of microorganisms and bacteria at this point.
