I am still technically working on #1 since we lost our twins last year but
if you got pg before and m/c, did you have a harder time getting pg again? I have a fear about this that I can't shake, especially since it has been 7 months since the m/c....
there is something bothering me that I can't put my finger on - it bothers me a lot that I had two follies, an clean HSG and a good lining last month and still got a bfn when I got pg with twins on a thin lining....we had dh re-checked and he is basically superman so it's not his issue...I also lost a lot of weight and thought that would make things happen easier.....
should I be worried that something else could be wrong? The nurse seemed confident since I got pg before that everything was fine but I've heard of secondary IF after a m/c
Re: secondary IF after a miscarriage?
Hi,
I think I am experiencing secondary infertility after m/c. I had my daughter without even trying and then trying again resulted in m/c. Ever since then I have had trouble getting pregnant again. My doctor also told me that since I got pregnant twice already that he didn't think anything was wrong with me. But that was my OB, I have not seen a specialist yet.
GL to you!

I am so sorry for your loss.
When it comes to IF not much surprises me anymore All I know is that every cycle is different. What happened lasy cycle is not indicative of what will happen next cycle. I got pg with DS with a progesterone level of borderline O. They told me to fill my next prescritption because they weren't positive I even Oed. My miscarriage I was on injectibles, had 1 21mm follie, thick lining, estrogen was perfect, timing was spot on after trigger. How does that work?
One thing I have learned through my combined nearly 3 years of TTTC. Take each cycle as a seperate entity. Just because you reacted one way one cycle doesn't mean it will happen that way again. Good, bad or indifferent.
You say they checked your DH. Have they run any tests on you?
I know that miscarriages are absolutely heartbreaking. Unfortunately they are common and thankfully are not necessarily indicative of IF issues. I hope that you get your BFP soon.
So I guess the positives are:
- DH has excellent counts and morphology
- He got my pg once, meaning his swimmers can get into my eggs
- My tubes are open (as per hsg)
- my uterus looks ok according the shg
- i produce follicles on femara, my lining was good and I O'd with ovidrel....
To me all of this should = a bfp which why I am so mystified. Last time I had a lining of 4 mm on clomid and got pg with twins....but I am getting increasingly worried that there could be something else preventing a pg for me....
I guess after another 2-3 failed cycles, they will want to switch things up....
