boob question

This is kind of hard to explain but I'll try.  The area around the nipple on the bigger of my 2 (not sure if that's why) seems to be very firm and kind of sponge-like when I wake up in the morning.  Usually not during the day (only b/c I've checked it today lol) but at night when I'm not wearing a bra. 

Has anyone else noticed this?  Any ideas?  It's so strange to me that it's just one and not the other.  I don't even know what to goggle to try to look it up!!

    Maybe it has to do with what side you sleep on too?  Sometimes I notice that my nips are really firm but I don't know about sponge-like...?

    I think I understand the sponge-like description.  I think mine do it too.  For me I usually notice i when my nips try to get hard(TMI!). But with my new hugenormous boobs, my nips have grown as well-I feel like a chick from National Geographic! Anyway, I've just attributed the strange texture to increased blood flow and to increased surface area that is trying to squish together.

    Good to know that someone else can relate.  lol  I thought about showing my doc at my next appointment and asking about it but since it softens up when I'm wearing support then I couldn't really show him.  I'm guessing it has something to do with extra weight maybe?  Who knows!  Pregnancy really screws with our bodies!
