Last month I went in for an u/s on CD13, which showed I had already O'd, and the RE said "We could do an IUI today, but I don't think it's worth it." So, we didn't do one.
He said, "next month we'll schedule your u/s for CD12." After the appt, I was like "wait - that could be too late."
So, I just got off the phone w/ the nurse at the RE's office and told her my concern: "If I come in for an u/s on CD12 and then O the morning of CD13, wouldn't that be too late to do an IUI, considering CD13 was too late last cycle? Shouldn't my u/s be earlier than CD12?" And she did not understand what I was asking and kept saying "noooo, it should be fine, but I'll ask the doctor." WTF. Ugh, I wish the other RE in town took my insurance.

In your situation, I would seriously lie to them regarding CD1 so that you end up with an u/s on CD 11. What are they gonna do, ask for a tampon check or something?

Yeah just tell them what you need and it the person you're talking to doesn't listen or understand, try to talk to someone else. It's just not a good idea to lie about things to your doc. It could cause more problems in the long run, you know?

The nurse just called me back. She said (in a slightly condescending tone), "the doctor said that, although you ovulated on CD13 last time, he looked at your chart and sometimes you don't ovulate until after CD14, so then CD11 would be too early. But if you WANT to come in on CD11, then we can schedule it for then."
I responded, "I understand that means I may have to come in for more than one u/s. But I want to make sure we don't miss it this time!"
I don't understand why they are not in agreement with me. It's almost like the RE is like, "engh, if we miss it again, we miss it again" and he'd rather limit the u/s to one per cycle. Whatever, I scheduled it for CD11 anyway.
I'm glad they are bringing you in on CD11. It's surprising to me that they don't do that anyway. Or are a bit more understanding about the whole thing.
Good luck!
Good, I'm glad you got it scheduled for the day you wanted. I don't understand either why they are being so jerky about the ultrasounds.
