As the old wives' tale has it, if your unborn baby's heart rate is higher, above 140 beats per minute, that means you're carrying a girl. A lower heart rate below 140 bpm means you're having a boy.
False for us. His heartrate was in the 160's last week at the doctors.

We've always been between the 170s and 150s (its progressively slowing down a little) and we're no question having a little boy. Its been confirmed by 3 different u/s techs and a perinatologist.
My LO has been anywhere between 145-155 and he's all boy. In turn, when my mom was pg with me, they told her the entire time I was a boy because I had a slow heartbeat - they were all surprised to find out I was a girl. There is absolutely no correlation between heartbeat and gender.

Re: Gender + heart rate
True. Upper 160s and a she.
We're having a girl and the heartrate has always been over 150+ since my 20 week u/s...so yeah I guess so.
But it is just an OWT afterall
