I don't have an OB yet. I am considering OBGYN West in EP or Womens Consultants downtown - or park nicollet Minnetonka or SLP. Does anyone have an OB they love at one of these locations or others?
Also how do you research the hospitals for childbirth?
TIA!
Re: OB in Minneapolis or West Metro?
I see Dr. Frank Czerniecki at the Fairview Southdale hospital. He practices there and at North Memorial. I've had him as my gynocologist before the BFP and he is very nice and knowledgeable! He is in a practice, however, so you'd run the risk of not having him there at your birth.
Oh, and you say his name as "Churn-eh-key"
Love, love, LOVE OBGYN West in EP. I see Dr Grootwassink and can't say enough good things about him. In fact, I went there originally because I worked in EP, but kept driving there from Roseville even after I became a SAHM. He delivers at Southdale, which I also loved - and they just redid their maternity floor so now it's even better (I delivered once before the remodel and once after - both experiences were great). GL!
I second a love, love, LOVE OBGYN West in EP. I see Dr. Grootwassink and he is AMAZING! Some really good things are - he sees you at every appointment. You don't have to see a nurse prac. He has made it to 85% of his deliveries. They have an ultrasound machine at OBGYN West - so if you need an ultrasound they just walk down the hall and do it. You do not have to schedule another visit and anxiously wait.
MN2003 - what's your due date?
Dr. Monica Norwick at PN St. Louis Park is awesome. Straightforward and always on time for appointments.
My regular nurse practitioner (they rotate appointments between NP and MD) was Julie Halverson, she was also great. GL!
