I got luck when I was PG with M and had no symptoms. This time around I'm having a lot of nausea. I find it both mildly reassuring that I'm still pregnant and terribly annoying. Any tips other than ginger - usually I'm a huge fan of ginger anything, but right now the thought of ginger makes me nauseated.
Re: How to control/get rid of nausea?
Keep some peppermint essential oil on a cotton ball that you can take a whiff of regularly or put it in a diffuser. Or lemons work too -- just scratch the peel and sniff.
Stay hydrated and snack a lot.

I try to make sure I always have a snack around - saltines and graham crackers have helped.
Sucking on a jolly rancher has worked too.
I get nauseated when I'm hungry, so I try not to let that happen.
Also, Orangina has helped!
I drank ginger-ale constantly, and ate a lot of saltines. I also found it reassuring to feel sick, but when it didn't go away at 14 weeks, I resorted to meds. Per my previous OBs orders, I took b-12 and plain, non-gel cap Unisom (Doxylamine). I took it nightly, slept really well, and never felt groggy or sick. I skipped it once a week on teh weekends, would feel/get sick again, and resume taking it nightly until I was almost 30 weeks.
So if none of the crackers/eating/drinking things work, ask your OB about unisom instead.
Mmmm...cherry!
A&W rootbeer...caffeine free and has a lot of anise in it which helps settle the nausea. It was my savior.
I also still rely on the eclipse peppermint gum...it is really strong and helps stop me from barfing.
Bland food.
I was on Zofran for a long time too...and it helped.

EJ is growing up too fast!
Not much help here...Slurpees and bagels did it for me! ;-)
I think it was the tartness of the slurpee and the grease of the butter loaded on the bagel.
Hiya.
I was pretty nauseous during my first trimester, first with my son, and now with this pregnancy. On top of that, I would get indigestion. What helped me was a lot was controlling smell. Sometimes just the smell of something triggered nausea. My co-worker bought me lavendar oil. Also, after I ate, I chewed a lot of peppermint and mint gum to clear our any left over taste in my mouth. For the most part though, I did exist on dinner rolls and breads, anything really bland.
Try also to eat small, small meals. Find a fruit that won't upset you, so you don't always feel like you are eating bland carbs. Nectorines and grapes did the trick for me.
The thought of ginger made me feel the same way too. =(

Mint helped me...like minty gum...loose pants..sour sucky candies like preggo pops...and then once I started getting actually sick Zofran fixed me right up.
Oh and actually making sure I was(sorry tmi) but pooping enough. Seemed like getting bad on one end affected the other end.
