My H's job can suckit

Okay, maybe I shouldn't say that. I know we are darn lucky he has such a stable job in this economy but OhMyGodIt'sSucking. He signed on for this thinking it would be 30% travel like it says in the job description. Oh no. It's more like 60% travel and its GETTING OLD. He's pretty much gone two weeks out of every month and there is no end in sight. Just when he thought things were slowing down they decide to throw another three weeks at him.

Sorry. This is just a vent, and sort of my excuse for not hanging with you ladies as much as I want. This damn job is totally cramping my internet social life.

Now I'm off to post about happier things like the Gymboree Fundraiser.?

    Sorry to hear that. I thought I had it rough cause my H works 6 days a week all day long but at least he's there in the morning to help get G to school. Maybe you and K should just start traveling with him. :)

    That was the plan when he took the job and we do go every now and then (just got back from MO), but traveling with K is becoming a nightmare. Hotels are not baby proofed nearly enough :(?

    Sorry. It can be rough. :(

    DH travels in spurts and sometimes will go months without having to go anywhere and then all of a sudden he's traveling everywhere. He just got back from England after being gone for two weeks...which happened to be the longest trip he's had to take since both kids were born. He tends to have to travel to Japan quite a bit. When the kids get a little older we'll be able to go with him sometimes which is a nice perk he has with his job. I'm trying to look at the bright side of things. :)

    That does suck! Is the amount of travel increasing because they are swamped?

    Ugg, I know how you feel. My h use to travel all.the.time and I absolutely hated it. He ended up getting a new job in March b/c he was traveling so often and I REFUSE to be a single mother half the year. He was at his previous job for years and it truly sucked. We also use to travel with him some of the time but that just was not happening with 2 kids.

    I hope it goes to 30% travel soon for you and your family. I have been there and it's rough. ::HUGS::

    Thanks ladies. I'm just irritated because it's not like they are abnormally busy (it's the Gov.) His coworkers are just saying, "yeah... it says 30%, but really it's a lot more than that". He took this job over another that said up front it was 50% travel because he didn't want to be gone that much. Eh..oh well. We'll live. Thanks for letting me whine, though.
