any chance supply can rebound?!!

DS is getting more and more solids and starting to sleep better at night which is causing (i guess?) my supply to drop considerably. Before I leave for work I usually pump a full 5-6oz bottle for him. I got a crappy 3oz this morning and had to pump for 30 min. Is there anything I can do at this point (over 9 months) to boost supply? The freezer stash is very low too so I want to give this one last shot to boost or I have to deal with weening and formula. I don't know anything about formula and I was hoping to make it til a year since I've been this far!

Re: any chance supply can rebound?!!

  • I remember reading on Kellymom that there is a typical pumping output decrease later on in the first year. I've always had good luck with Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle. HTH

  • My LO isn't eating solids yet but I had a dip in my supply because I skipped a pumping session at work repeatedly. To increase my supply I made sure I pumped 3x at work then added an extra one at home.  My supply has rebounded as a result.  I would try adding an extra pumping session maybe even one in the middle of the night/early morning when LO would've nursed before.  Good luck!!
