Bruised looking breasts

Last night I noticed something new that sort of freaked me out. Both bottom halves of my breasts are covered in purple webbed marks, like capillaries. My DH thought they might be stretch marks but I have those on the tops of my boobs and I've had those for a while. The bottom marks just appeared. They were not there two days ago. Any ideas? Is he right?

ETA: They don't look anything like my stretch marks on top part.

    Hm.  One symptom of mastitis (a breast infection) is red areas on your breast.  However, this doesn't necessarily sound like what you've described.  Have you had any flu-like symptoms, or are the purplish areas warm and/or tender to the touch?

    Maybe it's stretch marks and they just look different because the skin is different there?

    Another thought--your description of "webbed" makes me think maybe it is your blood vessels?  there is increased blood flow to the breasts, I think, when bfing because they get larger and there is more going on in them.  i remember being able to see my blood vessels/veins/capillaries(can't remember which they are) way more than normal, although for me they were more blueish, and larger.
